Tuberculosis
Indonesia is one of the fifth countries with the largest number of TB cases. There are estimated 250 thousand new cases per year. However the recent national survey have indicated that this number is highly underestimated. Most of our TB cases were not reported because they seek treatment in health services which has not implemented TB Program or the DOTS.
HIV-AIDS
HIV-AIDS is a potentially fatal disease, but current approach and proper treatment have reduce HIV transmission, new cases and death in most countries of the world. In Indonesia however, number of new cases and deaths continuously rising. Showing that disease control efforts and service coverage have not adequately reach the target to reduce its transmission.
